Who we are...

Flare Path Drama has truly been a labour of love for its founder, Gillian. Having taught drama all over the UK for the last 15 years, she'd seen it all (the good, the bad, and the "just doesn't quite work") when it came to children's drama. Having worked for many franchises with their regimented teaching methods, she grew passionate about a more personal approach to students' needs. No two children are the same, and drama is a wonderful way for them to embrace their uniqueness. At Flare Path Drama we create classes dedicated to developing their creativity, imagination and confidence in a way that works best for them, while helping them achieve their goals - be that passing a drama exam, delivering a dynamic presentation, or simply empowering them in finding their authentic voice.

What we do...

Flare Path offer bespoke drama classes, at very competitive rates. Most of our lessons take place in students' homes or online. We teach children individually, or in groups of two, three...even six! If your child has siblings or friends who wish to do a group lesson, then this can reduce the costs without compromising on the quality of teaching. Our students usually work towards LAMDA examinations in Performance or Communication (which you can find out more about on the next page). These examinations are internationally recognised and allow the students to gain UCAS points at the higher grades. We are proud to have a 100% pass rate with our students, but it is just as rewarding for us to watch a shy child grow in confidence to look people in the eye, smile, and speak with enthusiasm about their interests. We truly believe there is no limit to what drama classes can do for children of all ages!

Our teachers...

Our team of excellent teachers are highly experienced, and have been involved in drama with young people for years. Many have also worked in drama schools, and as professional actors in theatre, TV and film. Parents praise their enthusiasm, warmth, and commitment - they are excited to bring out the best in your child. All our staff are fully DBS checked. We are positive that you and your child will think they are as wonderful as we do!

"I like acting as the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland because he's mysterious and funny, and I get to use my voice in a different way."

Joseph (age 11)

"It's fun doing drama with my friend Sophie because we get to act out scenes together. The most fun is when we're the Stepsisters, we pretend to be really cross and mean!"

Jade (age 10)

"We were over the moon that Ella got a Distinction in her Grade 4 LAMDA exam - she's already excited to start working on new pieces for Grade 5."

Lisa, mum to Ella (age 13)

"Oliver's teacher told us that he put his hand up to read in front of the class for the first time and I know that's down to his drama lessons and his lovely patient teacher. Thank you!"

Katherine, mum to Oliver (age 9)
